A. Postage & Shipping charges
Shipping (=Postage & packing) is £4.95 per order for orders up to and including £95 in the UK. We have held this price for 10 years, since April 2013.
Shipping is free for orders over £95 in value (not including P&P) in the UK. Make your order up to over £95 in value to save on the cost of shipping!
What is ‘Shipping’?
Shipping is the sum of the
1) cost of Royal Mail's postal services, plus
2) costs of external packing materials, such as the mailers and mailing cartons that are used to ship your dyes, plus
3) the Paypal transaction charge (we don’t receive £4.95 from you...)
Delivery charges to Europe and the rest of World (that is, all countries outside UK)
We ship orders to all countries in the world and currently we have customers in more than 70 countries. However, with increased cost of international freight and postage, especially outside Europe, we need to cover our post & packing costs.

You do not need to contact us for 3 or 4 packet seed orders as these can be sent for the £4.95 charged by the shopping cart (unless the quantity is large!). Just order as usual.
C. Fulfilment and Delivery times
On receipt of your cleared payment, your order will be packed and sent to you by the UK’s Royal Mail postal service or by an appropriate carrier. We aim to send most orders within 3 to 5 working days.
Delivery is normally by the Royal Mail’s First Class post in the UK* and by the Royal Mail's international letter or packet services for overseas customers. This is essentially a Monday to Friday business hours service and therefore consignment at a post office usually takes place on a working day (Monday to Friday) following receipt of payment. There is no service on public holidays. Note that order fulfilment is from the UK and therefore delivery times are greater to addresses abroad than they are within the UK.
* UK orders over 1.7 kg in weight may be sent by Royal Mail’s Parcelforce 48 postal service.
Please ensure that your goods can be received at the delivery address that you provide, or give instructions as to where they can be left safely, as re-delivery cannot be guaranteed. You will be charged for re-delivery costs.
The Royal Mail states that it allows up to 15 working days for items to arrive in the UK and it cannot accept claims for non-delivery until 15 working days have passed since the item was due to be delivered.
For Europe, the Royal Mail states that it allows up to 20 working days for items to arrive and it cannot accept claims for non-delivery until 20 working days have passed since the item was posted.
For the rest of the world, the Royal Mail states that it allows up to 25 working days for items to arrive and it cannot accept claims for non-delivery until 25 working days have passed since the item was posted. 25 working days is 5 weeks plus any public holidays or other non-working days included in this period.
We would therefore suggest that you wait at least 2-3 weeks before advising us of any non-delivery to a UK address and 5 weeks for an overseas order.
Most orders are delivered rapidly and efficiently, however, but occasional delays in postal delivery occur for a wide variety of reasons.
D. Urgent Deliveries in the UK
If you require a Confirmed Delivery or an Urgent Delivery in the UK, we can send your packet or parcel by Royal Mail’s Special Delivery services. Next Day Special Delivery ‘Guaranteed by 1 p.m.’ will generally cost £5-£7 more than our standard delivery service for small packets and parcels up to 2 kg (including all packaging). Saturday delivery and delivery by 9 am services are also available but they are more expensive. Add a note to your order or send us an email when you make your order if you require any of these services.

E. Weights of natural dyes
Please note that the weights of natural dyes that are supplied may vary by up to 10% weight loss or weight gain due to moisture in the atmosphere.
